The Maths on Monday Series will cover a range of topics of use to all teachers of science who teach the physics component of GCSE science.

Session 05: Powers of 10 and Standard Form (Mark Whalley)

This can be a tricky subject and one that is so important. In this session we will look at standard form and conventional numbers, how to convert one to the other, how to perform calculations with them, and how to get the most out of your calculator.

This session will last for 1 hour, with 45 minutes for the main presentation and 15 minutes for questions.

Next session: 07 December – Units and Quantities with Liz Nourshargh
