Physics for Fun!

A workshop from the Institute Of Physics Teacher Network.

Caroline Allston, author of ‘Physics for Fun’ and award winning STEM educator and professional engineer, will explain how to make models that relate to the KS3 physics curriculum and provide teachers with opportunities to have a go at making a selection of models to take away – balloon hovercrafts, model seesaws and many more!

Caroline will also bring along a variety of her other projects for you to have a go with. You can find out how they are made and how they work. Caroline has written a series of  books and teacher resources – more details at www.technologyforfun.co.uk

A free copy of ‘Physics for Fun’ will be given to all participants at the workshop and refreshments will also be provided free of charge.

There will also be an opportunity to discuss your concerns and the challenges the topic presents. Bring along your own ideas and suggestions to share.
