      It appears likely that web addresses like this




      are causing grief to some browsers in weird and wonderful ways that disallows access to the MathJax server.


      Then you get nostaligic bits of LaTEX  in the middle of your web page.


      So I’ve edited all the links here, to be like:




      which seem to work fine, and don’t prevent access to the MathJax script. You can of course persevere with the https:// variant and fix the settings on your browser (in chrome, for example, a small shield pops-up in the address bar to let you know that some algoritm is saving you from something.  if you’re using any other links, then testing so far reveals that swithching the https to http alleviates the problem.
